Ann McCain has successfully managed teams and individuals for more than 25 years by focusing on what all employees crave: high quality and realizable communication that builds trust, laying the foundation for high-performing teams. She is an adept communicator and collaborative leader with experience managing teams in public affairs, non-profit, political, business, and professional services sectors. McCain is a relationship builder and problem solver with a deep commitment to advancing business priorities by strengthening culture and developing talent. McCain joins the team after three years with the American Clean Power Association (ACP) where she served as Senior Director of Advocacy, leading ACP’s state coalitions program and national grassroots network in support of clean energy industry priorities.
Maura Kennedy expands the Strategic Elements communications department as the Vice President of Communications, bringing 13 years of communications, public relations, media, and marketing to the team. Driven by her love of journalism, Kennedy takes pride in the team’s creative storytelling and producing effective results. Maura worked for almost a decade as a TV news anchor and reporter, covering breaking news around the country for CBS and ABC News affiliates. During her time as a TV news journalist, Kennedy interviewed John McCain and Madeleine Albright and reported live from the Boston Marathon bombing, Whitey Bulger trial, and Barack Obama’s presidential campaign tour. Her background in journalism serves as a go-to resource for clients.
Before joining Strategic Elements, Elizabeth Etter served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Management Specialist. Within two years on station, Elizabeth earned her commission. She began her new position as a Nuclear Missile Operations Officer stationed at Minot, North Dakota, where she went on to earn her promotion to Captain. Etter gained extensive experience during her time of service in project and operations management and high-intensity, specialty training. Etter has recently expanded her project management methodology understanding by earning her ScrumMaster certification. She proudly steps into the Strategic Elements’ Director of Public Affairs role.
